Description

The 2019 Hud’s Blend is a medium-bodied, red wine blend of 50% Primitivo and 50% Petite Sirah. Primitivo is the Italian name of the grape California calls Zinfandel. This clone was curated in Italy and retains the Primitivo name. The grapes were grown at the Wheeler Vineyard in Yolo County.

The grapes were fermented separately in open top bins with twice daily punch downs. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 16 months about 25% of the time in new barrels.
