The 2022 Merlot is 90% Merlot with 10% Zinfandel. The Merlot is from Livermore Valley and the Zinfandel is from Yolo County.
It is an exceptionally smooth wine with flavors of plum, strawberry, cherry and notes of earthiness and spice.
The grapes were fermented separately in open top bins with three daily punch downs. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months and bottled.
